SPEAKER: Dr. Bill Barrier
Dr. Bill Barrier is the Executive Vice President of global product development, quality, and food safety for American Dairy Queen Corporation. Dr. Barrier and his worldwide team are responsible for product creation, product consistency, and brand protection. After receiving his B.S. in biology from Fisk University, he earned his M.S. and Ph.D. in food science from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. He has worked for General Mills, Pillsbury, KFC, Burger King, and Firmenich.
Additionally, he has earned many achievements over his 25 years in the food industry. Bill resides in Maple Grove, MN with his wife and two daughters. He currently serves as a director for Cookie Cart (cookiecart.org), a non-profit that provides teenagers with leadership and career skills through training in an urban bakery. Gardening, traveling, and being with his family are his passions.
