Topic: “Future of FScN @ UMN:- New Department Head Dr. Job Ubbink”

Overview: The Minnesota Section of IFT is delighted to welcome our distinguished speaker, Dr. Job Ubbink, Professor and Head of Department of Food Science and Nutrition, University of Minnesota, for a discussion of what his vision for the department in the years ahead.

Dr. Job UbbinkSpeaker: Dr. Job Ubbink, Professor and Head, FSCN, UMN

Johan B. (“Job”) Ubbink, Ph.D., has joined as the new head of the Department of Food Science and Nutrition. Job will begin serving in his role since August 26, 2019.

Job comes to UMN from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, where he was professor and head of the Food Science and Nutrition department. Prior experiences include positions as senior scientist at Givaudan, as global expert materials science at the Nestlé Research Center in Switzerland and in various consulting roles in the food industry.
